Recently joined a project that’s been in flight for long time. Onboarding hasn’t been great, not sure who my Point of contact is, where we are in the process (since they started such a long time ago and the SoW is outdated by at least 2 years), what the objectives are for this phase of work. Manager sort of just says things that suggests I should know, which deters me from asking Qs. They recently came across as a bit annoyed when I’d ask a few Qs. Not sure if they fee the onboarding decks…tbc

Two days later I got an email saying Microsoft is freezing hiring for certain departments and the recruiter is ghosting me. Will I even get a chance to interview atleast?

Does anyone have family members who constantly demand money because they feel like you’re rich now because you’re a lawyer? I’ve always wanted to be in a position to help my family but we all live in the high COL city so my salary doesn’t carry me as far as it would elsewhere. What’s something a guy has said in a meeting you could never pull off as a woman? I’ll go. One time a guy creative was presenting his work and said “yeah this was just me being lazy and not wanting to do any work” and he literally suggested we do the same ads as last year, with a different celebrity plugged in. CDs in the meeting laughed and considered it for a minute. If I had presented that and said I was being lazy, I would prob be put on the chopping block.

So I was laid off. Is it okay to talk about it at my next job interview? Feels like everyone knows anyway.
