It has been said that we can have everything, just not at the same time. At least one area of your life will be more neglected as you succeed in another - ie: during a very busy period at work, you have less time at home with your partner or children and need to find a solution such as relying on that partner, family support, hiring childcare, we’re just putting them after school activities. Similarly, duties around the house may have to be de-prioritized, so again you’ll either be relying more on a partner to help if that’s an option, or hiring someone to clean here and there.
My solution is trying to do it all regardless and getting very little sleep, don’t do what I do.

I think the hardest part is exactly what you’ve said: we can’t have everything at the same time. I’m still not sure what I am going to do, but something for sure has to give.

Not a woman but my wife works full time and we have three kids. It takes a ton of teamwork to get everything done. If you can, choose a job that you can work where you can't take work home with you, that way you can focus on family when you're in the home.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but parenting should be a 2 person job. You shouldn't feel like you have to quit your job just because you are the mother. I feel like it may be a chat with your partner that's needed on how to make it work? It may be both getting flexible jobs with flexible hours etc?
