Are travel jobs not a good idea if you have a family to support?

I am not entirely sure if its a good idea because I want to be stable for my wife and baby. I personally am leaning to thinking its an awful idea because my baby and wife may need me and by not being home, I am letting down my family. I don’t know why so many companies want to offer me a travel job.

Does anyone have experience with this? Is it really a bad idea?

Litigators—how many different cases are you on?

Been feeling spread too thin lately but I don’t know whats typical. Curious what others do. And would you mind sharing whether you’re a junior, midlevel, partner, etc??

I realize sheer number of cases doesn’t tell the whole story… obviously you can be buried on one massive case. I’m finding it hard to jump back and forth between everything I have going on right now, though, but I don’t know if the answer is to just deal with it.

I just started a new job 2 months ago, benefits and PTO don’t start until 90 days in so I still have a month before I can take off any time, and today found out my company doesn’t offer paid maternity leave.
I’m really struggling handling the symptoms and maintaining my full time job. Thinking about looking for a part time job to have more time to myself through the pregnancy since I won’t be getting a paid leave anyways, but lost on where to start looking. Any recommendations?
