Hello All,
I have recently joined FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.
Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?
Can anyone please guide?

I accept anyone who adds me who doesn’t seem like a clear scammer of some sort (no mutual whatsoever / ai photo). Then I likely never interact with or speak to that person again. It just literally affects me in no way either way.
Perhaps in the early days of LinkedIn where being in someone’s network had meaning or cache it mattered, but at this point…honestly, who cares?
If they leave a note that increases their likelihood significantly. If not I glance at their headline or look them up online to see if they are in my industry or would be a good connect, and then decide

Seriously. Who blindly requests a complete stranger with zero context? It’s like staring down someone in the street.
Based on my experience, 90% of people accept LinkedIn request from people they’ve never met. And here’s why you should. The more LinkedIn connections you have, the higher you are place in LinkedIn search when recruiters are looking for creatives. The algorithm rewards people with a lot of connections cause it sees that this person is popular and well connected. So when you post something on LinkedIn, more people see it in their feeeds
Same as Media Monks 1. If I don’t know you or at least know something about our potential connection, I don’t see any reason why our connection helps each other. I won’t recommend a total stranger for a job, for instance. Leave a note, tell me why you want to be connected, and then maybe we can get to know each other or at least find mutual benefit. I struggle with the idea of being collected like a stamp.

Note? Maybe, depending on why they’re wanting to connect. No note? No.
I only accept people I know and recruiters. My feed is already full of garbage but at least this way it’s vaguely relevant and sometimes interesting.
Now it's mostly denying, unless it's someone junior who is looking for career advice. After getting spammed by too many people, I've had to be picky about who I accept, unfortunately.
Only if the company is a place I want to work at pretty much. Otherwise I delete.
Can someone help me understand the point of denying connections?
I used to accept everyone until I started getting people who’d spam my inbox with nonsense. I even gave grace with their initial message by ignoring it but noooooo. Also don’t want to be associated with these jerks should they try to connect with anyone I actually know in the industry.
Hard delete
I do, I’m pretty open on LinkedIn because I don’t consider it personal. Some vendors get really annoying so I tend to sort through those a bit more. Too much spam from them.

I accept everyone except AI shillers and bros with terrible takes. If they immediately try to sell me something I block them.
If it’s a real person in the industry and we have mutual connections I’ll usually accept. The point to me of LinkedIn is to have a huge network. Yes, sometimes it means my feed is clogged, but it also means I see job postings that I never would have been exposed to and news about the industry. I’m gotten some great work this way.
If it's someone who is in my field who I don't know personally, I always just accept them anyway. If it's at marketing or bisdev person I don't know, I deny. Too many of those people trying to spike up their connection count and send out newsletter invites and what not. They are very annoying. Also can't stand reading their generic ChatGPT posts in my feed.
