I am a "come early" and then "sit in a daze after" teacher
I hear ya!
I’m the first one in the building, and I am the first out.
Absolutely the same! I’m pushing past kids at dismissal!
I come early and bolt at 2:30!
I stay late to accomplish what I can't get done in a 45 minute prep. However, I really do try not to stay super late.
I am all over the place. Sometimes I come early, stay late. Sometimes I get there at the bell and bolt at the bell. Everything in between.
I don't stay crazy late hours anymore - I can't imagine doing that for actual work (I mean aside from attending a BBall game or something).
When I coached I’d be there until 8 most nights. Those days are LONG gone.
I’m the last one
I come in early, which is a habit I developed when my kids were young (I couldn’t stay late AND I wanted my husband to have to deal with them 😂). Now that one kid’s at college and the other’s a junior in high school, I end up staying late getting work done and enjoying the quiet.
Come in late and stay late
I believe I'm the former since I still pick up groceries for dinner.
I get there around contract time unless a time warp opens in my bedroom and makes me late, and I try to leave at contract time. Sometimes I’m successful; sometimes I am not. I try not to stay too late. No one cares if I do stay late and I lose time for myself if I do.
I’m a “come in at the bell, but stay crazy late hours” teacher. I always intend to leave school at a decent hour, but I get caught up in whatever I’m doing and end up staying too long.
I'm the first one! I like being early and starting my day right. I also go home early to prepare home-cooked meal for my family.
I come early soon as the building opens.
