I do most of my novel reading in class because I have a lot of students with IEPs who require the text to be read aloud to them. Also most of my students are at a lower reading level then they should be at. Reading aloud in class helps me explain what’s going on and start to bridge that gap. When I do reading aloud my students have worksheets that are to be filled out as I read to keep them accountable.
Depends on the type of class! Honors reads outside mostly but CP we read together
Plays we read aloud and act out. We read the beginning of a novel chapters and students finish st home. Read aloud can be dull
