I am Offered 29.5fixed by PwC for SA (L2). Currently on 25fixed. Should I join ? In terms of WLB.! My current employer on fishbowl shows Deloitte but have left Deloitte a year back. Currently in a firm with good WLB but PWFH is a big win for me that PwC is offering.
Any guidance or fist hand experience sharing is highly appreciated.

GS - You live in NYC? Sounds like an awfully dismal social life you got there. I save 10% pre-tax (401k) and ~75% of bonus. No excess savings on top of that...
That seems like an awfully high number GS1? I was thinking more like 30% of my post tax income
GS1 - 4% of post tax income on food? Are you on the $5 foot long diet?
Post taxes = 50%, not including bonus.
At least get your full match, otherwise I'd say 30-40% is ahead of the game
Rent ~35%
Utilities ~ 1.5% on avg.
Internet ~ 1.5%
Cell phone 1.5%
Food ~ 4%
Leisure ~ 6.5% (Doable given the lack of time out of the office relative to non-FO peers and stop footing the bill for friends cause you work in FO, it's okay every now and then)
--------------------
Savings ~50%, not including bonus
As an analyst, social life was awfully dismal then given the limited hours outside the office
^How much do you make?! Is this not an FO forum???
My assumptions are driven off market rate FO, $90k - $100k base.
So let's call it $60k after taxes, that means you spend $2,400 on food = $200/month? Not a fucking chance
For me, it was roughly $12 per lunch, dinner comped by Co.
These are the kids we're trusting to do the grunt work in billion dollar valuations. Short $JPM! Short $GS! Short everything
^🤣
Lol did you work every single day every single weekend? Holy shit $200 a month on food is not possible at all in NYC if you have a day off every 2 weeks and I was super conservative with spending.. do you budget a monthly amount for your vacations? Add that and your 50% probably gets cut by 30%. Assume health insurance, transportation, etc. you're netting out since it comes out of your check
Unable (not by choice) to take vacation for the first two years...
I'm so sorry to hear that.. Not sure how you manage to pull that one off and now your #s make a bit more sense to me.
