Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations
Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

The best way to get $85K+ if you're only worth $50-65K is to get your worth up to $85K+. Same as a house. If you want to sell it for more than it's worth, you raise its worth by investing in updating the kitchen or putting in an addition. Can you update some of your skills or add some new ones? I notice your degree is in the medical field but your current job role is in legal. If you want to stick to legal, consider pursuing certifications, credentials and/or degrees in the legal field. Remember, in every role you are applying to, you are competing with other people and some are worth $85K. You want to have the qualifications of an $85K person to get $85K job. Once you are ready, then you have to apply to a $85K job. You can't apply to a $50K job and expect $85K. So AIM HIGH! You'll get it!
Do this but I needed to hear it but thank you thank you
