Let me share my interview experience with Amazon India
1. Cleared 1 screening and 2 technical rounds. I got confirmation that result is positive but position is closed. We are referring u 4 another role. 2. Again 1 screening and 2 technical rounds which got cleared. On the day of final leadership interview got a call from recruiter that this position is closed. Refering u 4 another role. 3. Direct technical round. Got rejected. No more referal 😀
Partner Interview (6th interview).
Good or Bad?
My referral had interviews w/ (1)
recruiter, (1) SM, then the series of
(3) 1:1's w/(1) MD and (2) SM's.
The recruiter said he will now have
an interview in Jan. w/ the PPMD.
He interviewed for a M role in
consulting for customer marketing.
11 YOFE
He does have a wide skill set and the
recruiter said it was all positive
feedback, just have to find out
where to put him (on the team he
interviewed for or another he is
qualified for).Deloitte

I think it’s still a good idea, but framed less as a “thank you” and much more as some kind of follow-up to your conversation. And not just “It was great what you said about xyz,” but adding something genuinely smart, useful and that shows you have given some insightful thinking to the role you’d be taking over.

Agree. I would also use it as an opportunity to in a sense back up what you've previously discussed. Keep it short, to the point, and potentially sell yourself one last time. You could theoretically keep it under 200 words, maybe a bit more.

• step 2: Summarize your convo and speak to your points (2-3)
• step 3: summarize how you can speak to those points.
• step 4: one more haymaker of bragging with a post script. I P.S the shit out or emails. People read them.
• step 5: ??????
• step 6: Profit.
