We’re coming out. Well, at least me. Thank you Ralph Watson for making me relive this everyday.
Not sure about the victims but a federal lawsuit on these grounds will compel the “unmasking” of the anonymous group and its posters. Subpoenas to instagram will require them to preserve posts, user data/logins, IPs and device numbers. So yes, if allowed to move forward it will expose them. Anyone idiotic enough NOT to use a burner phone repeatedly put themselves in the jackpot. Furthermore their politics outside of sexual harassment allegations will all but ensure any ruling ends up against them as they were petty, malicious and heavily steeped in far left politics outside of the scope of exposing industry abusers.

Bad move on Watson’s part if you ask me. When his victims come out... willing to be named.... all’s he’s done is set himself up for some serious civil, if not criminal, lawsuits.
He already got fired. He already has the sexual harassment blacklist on him. What else does he have to lose? He won’t be subject to personal liability in a suit from an accuser because the employer has the onus to act and he may be indemnified in his liability via contract.
True but no criminal acts were alleged, sexual harassment isn’t a criminal act. Sexual assault is and I don’t recall him being accused of an assault.

I think part of the problem is that the statement “no power to do anything” is incorrect. If you are sexually assaulted it’s a criminal matter and the police that very seriously. There is more support than ever for victims of sexual assault so that’s why that particular statement feels disingenuous. You reported to HR. Good. You also could quit and sue his ass. But to claim you had no power at all makes it seem like we’re living in The Handmaid’s Tale and that is not true.
P1, Contract doesn’t protect you from criminal acts.
I believe you AD1, I just think people are angry and unsupportive of the way DMA handled things.
People know that there are innocent people on that list. Good people. (Hence all the backlash against DMA.)

Not that it’s anyone’s business, I reported to cpb hr. I’m currently working with a lawyer since he decided to take this route. I understand why some wouldn’t believe me. He tricked me too.
AD1, In what forum did you accuse him? Formal complaint to HR? Police report? Face to face? Or did you accuse him anonymously on DMA?
AD1 - did you report the incident to CPB HR? If so, what did they say?
Also was it harassment or assault because there’s definitely a big difference. If you reported that he sexually assaulted you and HR did nothing surely they can be held accountable, right?
