Coach
I’ve been there.
Honestly, you just gotta power through. Apply for jobs. Reach out to people you know. Ask what they’re up to. Write positive comments on people’s work they post on LinkedIn. Respond to a cattle call or two. Take any meeting. I’m not big on the whole “Hey everyone, I’m available,” post on LinkedIn, but I firmly believe there are sneaky ways to get the word out about yourself. You just gotta try a bunch of them. It’s not about your talent. It’s about your timing.
Also, remember to take advantage of your excess free time. It’s huge for your mental health.
I’m in the same boat 🚣♂️
If you’re applying at a big company, copy and paste the job spec in a tiny white font somewhere on your CV doc. The computer will pick it up and think you’re a perfect match, but no human will ever know.
Dammit ATS. This is why we can’t have nice things.
