At what point, post layoff can you be honest about your former employer? I was laid off one week after being told there would be no layoffs, 3 days before my vacation, 60 days after I did 2 full time jobs to fill in for a colleague and one month after receiving a raise. I was shocked. It upended my life. I deserved better. I worked so hard. I was told repeatedly that I was essential and a leader on my team. Frankly I'm still hurt and angry.

Had a very serious query. In my current organization I was not under taxable bracket by any means so I didn't submit any investment declarations or anything. But I'll start a new job in 2 weeks where I'll be under taxable bracket. So will I get a chance to submit my investment declarations in the new company for tds calculations in the middle of the year ? I'm new to everything so would appreciate your help. TIA :)

Have final round interviews at BCG tomorrow. I'm at S& right now at the SA level. Father had a sudden health issue come up this week and it's got me off my game. I'll ultimately need to support him financially for at least a year while he recovers. Not complaining, but has me considering just dropping out of the interview process. Is that crazy? Is the opportunity with BCG really so far beyond what I have already with S&? Is dropping a better look than interviewing and doing terribly?
