I worked 60-70 when I was at Deloitte. Thankfully I don’t have any more busy seasons 😎

What’s your salary?

Depends on your specific sub-service line, your team, and how awful your clients are. But 60 is pretty normal, with a few weeks that'll probably be better or worse than that.

smart

I worked 70+ hours per week when I was in Big 4 sometimes leaving work at 2am in the morning. Not anymore now though. I am in industry. No more crazy busy season for me. You could not pay me enough $$$$$$ to return to public accounting.

What’s your current title?

I remember when I was in Big 4 tax that one week I only did 69 hours, and was honestly asked by a manager if I felt guilty. Mind you, it wasn’t busy season in my department and all my projects were on schedule. Someone else in my department would work hours for us and then volunteer to pick up hours in another department where she was trying to move to. So 69 hours was supposed to make me feel bad for slacking apparently.

I am working on a NFOA for a design case. The Examiner identified a primary references and four secondary references. The Examiner also pointed out five differences between the primary reference and the claimed design. Should I clarify the level of a designer having ordinary skill in the art first? Complex/Expensive article. TY!

I’m looking for a new job, working remotely, that doesn’t require a Bachelor’s. (I’m currently going back to school to get one, as I only have an Associate’s in Mathematics right now)
I had positions in private sector that allowed me to supplement having a degree with experience but not in public sector. I’ve seen coworkers get positions they aren’t able to do simply because they have a degree and then leave a mess for me to clean up but I’m not allowed to have the position. Any suggestions?
