I'm in the similar boat. Need some help here. They are asking for supervisor details and I'm not comfortable giving supervisor info. Is it okay to just give HR information?
Can you give your HR info? If they’re just verifying employment they can do that through HR
You must know someone you are on more friendlier terms at work. I never give my actual supervisor’s contact, its always a friend or someone else I know at the firm
I’ve always given notice before the background check. That would be awkward otherwise.
In my experience even though they may ask for that you should be able to deny them permission to contact the current employer.
I don’t think ‘had to’ means what you think it means. Leave it blank or just put your phone number there. You already denied them permission to contact.
