People who make 250K+ - do you still feel like you need / want more? Do you have a number in mind that you think is enough? Do you think you will need more when you reach it?

How old are you and what is the biggest problem in your life right now?

I’m from a low-income family, the only one who went to college) and already make more @25 (140k) than my blue-collar parents ever did in their life. There is clear resentment, judgment, jealousy from family regards to my life/ income to where I stopped sharing vacation plans/ posting about my adventures. Has anyone else been in this position? How do you manage it?

Do you ever tip 20% or more for dine in?

Can someone explain this sense of entitlement by the younger generation? When I hear the younger gen complaining that they aren't getting paid enough when they start at 70k which is more than some experienced hires.....I just don't understand.

Caught a candidate and offerree lying about his GPA. Resume had a 3.9 and background check returned a transcript with 3.7 (doesn’t look like he was ever close to 3.9). Seems like a bright kid though, mostly just unsettled by the need to lie. What would you do?

I just accepted an offer at another big4 and I feel so blessed to be making $130k in LOCL as a 23 year old with less than 1.25 YOE. And I find it funny that I'm gonna be "senior" consultant/associate at my age and YOE. I don't know jack shit, and will completely understand if my clients/senior peers don't give me any respect at all. Thank you covid and the great resignation for this wonderous and hilarious opportunity.

Have a near perfect GMAT score, put a ton of effort into my applications, and just got rejected by my safety MBA program… is it possibly because my “identity” isn’t right? (White male)

Ever bombed an interview so badly that you agreed at the end of the call you aren't a good fit?

How do you give feedback to someone who is actually killing it? Just, say keep up what you’re doing?

My friends little sister is graduating undergrad and has an offer from Strategy& for $100k and McKinsey for $90k (pretty sure McK is going to bump soon). Im obviously biased to McK but want to show her other perspectives. Which one should she choose and why?? And and all feedback is welcomed!

Just a Wednesday rant: I turned 40 yesterday and realized I've wasted the prime of my life in consulting. I neglected fam, friends and my own emotional & spiritual needs owing to the adrenaline and stress of this space, and corporate tech in North America in general. The realization hit me like a ton of bricks. I'm going to exit to something super low-key so I can finally start making some memories. Rant over. Thank you for reading.

I am proposing to leadership that our open requisitions have fully vaccinated requirements for all roles, so that we are hiring vaccinated people into the firm. Is this fair or would it affect talent acquisition negatively?

Collective consultant power needed. Case study: my parents own a small bar. 8 tables. No room for dancing/games. Bar is struggling financially. How do I approach helping? Any ideas how to improve?

Anyone stuck at ORD?

On my first project and everyone else is Director+. As a result, they handle most of the project deliverables, which i completely understand because I know nothing. Is it better to be reaching out to my main point of contact and asking for stuff to do or just waiting for him to come to me? Don’t want to feel like they have to keep me entertained all day

Is it just me or why are a lot of consultants so competitive and aggressive in the workplace? Like chill, I don't want to just talk about how you went to an ivy league and make blah blah amount. No one cares. Controversial but I've found the women I work with even more aloof and sour to me than the men. So much for female solidarity

What do you all think about the policy of having your webcam on at all times during meetings, internal and external? I’m very torn. I don’t think it’s kosher and it is a slippery slope, but a lot of folks seem to have very strong opinions about this. My Partners feel like it should be mandatory during Biz hours but others feel it’s not necessary. What do you all think?
