Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance
Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!

Black suit, black shirt, red tie, spiked hair. Mention you love dashboard confessional
👏🏻
Eww. Get that black suit out of the rotation. Dark grey or dark blue. White shirt. Tie
You can 100% wear black shoes with a navy suit
And you should wear a belt but no one will actually care
Business attire is formulaic. In this case - blue suit, white shirt, black shoes, black belt, inoffensive tie that matches navy (NOT red, NOT yellow - do not play these “subconscious messaging” games with ties. Go simple for the suit and shirt - base colours of light blue, salmon, maroon, burgundy, grey, dark green; simple patterns on top are ok; half Windsor knot)
In NYC I would definitely wear a tie. I would say a navy suit, but that is more personal preference. Either would be fine
Thanks all. Looks like I will go with navy blue, a tie, and brown shoes of course. My question was as good as can I wear black shoes with a navy blue suit? No you can't.
What does everyone think of the no belt look?
Suspenders are making a comeback... in bushwick
I doubt they would ding you for reasonable suit choices, hopefully this is the least of your worries going into finals.
Black tux and V-neck, guessing you’re interviewing for Gamma / Digital and not Generalist track
Blue or charcoal grey suit, black or brown shoes... I went with no tie but if you wear one should be neutral
I had a dream last night about going to a big piano performance and instead of worrying about the music I was freaking out about what suit to wear. I ended up going out on stage in a 2” too big double breasted black suit with a thin tie and a small knot. I was sitting in the bar drinking and worrying. And then I realized that I hadn’t practiced the piece I was supposed to play for weeks. Thanks a lot fish bowl
