I donât screen resumes, but I successfully went through that process in 2019.
In general, clearly articulate responsibilities, donât use overly complex jargon/just be direct and clear like you would on a ppt slide, quantify outcomes to the extent possible, showcase leadership, for the love of god donât have a typo, network a lot so you can write a good cover letter (I name dropped 3 people from the office I was applying for), donât try to hide your gpa or test scores - the system makes you enter them anyways.
It doesnât hurt to have cool interests too, the person reading it (and hopefully eventually interviewing you) is a human too. Nobody is âinterestedâ in financial accounting and coding.
Again, though, I donât screen resumes, so what do I know
Well I just didnât try in high school. I just explained my story of my development. I have a high college gpa ( non-target school) and the feedback was she really liked my attitude on growth and personality.
