Be honest—do you trust your company’s maternity leave policy? A close friend of mine took 12 weeks of leave, came back ready to dive in, and found that half her client portfolio had been reassigned. Her manager said it was “to ease the transition,” but she never got those accounts back. It felt like punishment for stepping away, not support. I see so many companies boast about being family-friendly, but when it’s time to walk the talk, they quietly sideline women. Do you trust your company to actually support you through maternity leave—or do they just check the box?

I’ve seen a few companies do it well—structured return plans, phased-in schedules, and clear communication. But I’ve also seen others quietly edge women out. I think trust comes down to whether leadership truly values people or just optics.

I felt very supported. I had 24 weeks leave and felt supported throughout. I logged in a few times on my corporate cell to check emails/ forward anything needed, but that was my choice and took maybe 5 minutes at a time I came back and picked up where I left off. I didn’t realize this wasn’t the norm, which is unfortunate

That’s when you seek legal advice, sue and get your healthy pay check.

That’s so frustrating and unfortunately way too common. Companies talk a big game about being family-friendly, but actions like that say otherwise. I’d like to believe mine would be supportive, but stories like this definitely make me question it.

Just restarted stimulants and already I'm dealing with twitches again. Does anyone else get these? No type of pain or anything just every once and a while my body will twitch strongly. Afterward I feel normal, but it's a bit annoying, and I can't control it at all which is a little disconcerting. Don't remember this from when I took stimulants as a kid, but it's been a while.

How is the work life balance in Citi?

Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?

Seeking honest advice here.

Any EY new managers going to be in Orlando?

Just completed my first week at Deloitte and finished setting up my DPN profile , completd my mandatory trainings etc. I've left my resource manager an IM , he's been MIA. How long before someone reaches out to me for assignment to a project. I don't have project assigned to me and no coach yet . Is this normal ? What's the typical time frame after hiring to get assigned to project. It feels extremely weird not to have a client assigned or not be actively pursuing one.
