Be honest, don't second guess what you want. Most Importantly, more than likely you are worth more than what you think. We have not because we ask not.
From what I’ve seen, recruiters are usually more focused on whether you’re professional and reasonable than on whether you used a textbook negotiation phrase. Most of them have heard every tactic already anyway.
There is always a budget and or ranges -
This is your chance to ask for what you are worth.
Don’t second guess your value. They are likely to meet you in the middle.

Understand your worth, express it, and be sure that the jobs you apply for are within the range you will be satisfied. This is a tough HR job market, make sure you do your due diligence on the company & gather information to be sure it’s a fit and go for it.
