You get connected to tax payers, answer their questions, help them with tax preparation or do the tax preparation depending on the situation. People skills, tax skills, tax research skills, problem solving. It's not too good to be true. It's challenging and rewording. It's all about taking care of one taxpayer at a time. How happy is that person after you helped them? Did you fix their problem. It's as easy and as hard as that.

I think my review gives the best description of working at TurboTax as a tax expert. In my opinion you can get a lot out of it. You get out of it, what you put into it. Same as anything.
