I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?
Although Amazon has instituted a hiring freeze and layoffs are probably on their way, I went through the loop for a security engineer position at AWS. Before I attended the final interviews, Amazon placed the hiring freeze and called me to ask if I wanted to go ahead or cancel my application. I decided do go ahead Right now I'm waiting for their response and the position I applied to changed from "under consideration" to "no longer under consideration". Thoughts?

Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?

Claude. 10000000x better than Chat GPT at everything IMO, interview prep included. Maybe I just never got the hang of prompting Chat GPT correctly, but I can never get it to produce results that are anywhere near as good as what I get from Claude with a fraction of the effort.
Weirdly enough, I really like the voice mode of ChatGPT. It feels a lot more conversational and I find that to be a bit more helpful. Typing mode is fine as well.
Yea Chat I use the most
Try to remember, None of them have interpersonal skills/empathy/de-escalation etc. It can emulate those things and very convincingly i must say. But at the end of the day it has no self, its aware of its own model but that is all. Every word and symbol it is typing is based on probability that those symbols (letters, words) are the correct ones, and a little bit of inference. Its like a mirror that understands how a mirror works.
AI has condensed our entire civilizations language into basic patterns, and those patterns mean less and less everyday.
