I have nationwide but not happy with it. If I could do it over again I would go with Trupanion. Nationwide has tripled the cost in 3 years when my dog has been healthy and we haven’t even used it. Used to be $25/month when he was a puppy and last year they made it to $90 a month.. definitely do your research on what each insurance covers/doesn’t cover etc.
I’m happy with lemonade. Had claims approved within the minute of submitting through the app. Disclaimer is that I’ve had it for 5 months only
I second avoid nationwide at all costs. I had it for 6 years and my pup recently had 13k in vet bills and they only reimbursed 3k.
Healthypaws, have been satisfied with quick reimbursements
I use Hartville and it's been great. Super quick reimbursements and the policy is straightforward.
Ask your vet to recommend low income insurance. I am blessed that my vet has a low cost insurance so I’m am able to keep my budget. Btw I go to Banfield veterinary clinic
Recommend Best Pets the reimbursement is longer than healthy paws but they won’t increase your insurance rate when your dog gets older (2.5y) for a friend from $47 to a $100+
