I need advice.
I work at an manufacturing company as a technician. My job title is a technician but they use me as an engineer as-well. There are three techs overall in the company. My boss who hired me understands what my degree is in so he uses me to design parts and write reports. The plant manager doesn’t know my skills so anytime I’m in the office working he calls me to the floor to do something the other techs can do. Should I have a talk with the boss about it? (I ran out of characters)

I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. How do I go about managing someone that’s hyper-focused on being promoted? Literally every 1:1 and every time I talk to them it’s “am I doing everything I can to make manager?”

A recruiter at another B4 gave me a number much lower than what I’m currently making. Should I tell them how much im making now, which is admittantly at the very top of the SC band, or counter with a range that’s more than I’m making? I hesitate to just throw out current salary + 20% bc I’d be asking for almost $190k for a SC role and I know that would be quite a huge ask for a SC @ B4, even for tech

If you work for a large strategy firm and a client approves a much larger budget than you think was needed for the project is it okay to just accept the overage ? We will find a way to use it, but weirdly feel guilty. Is it ever good to go back to the client and say that you want less than they approved? Lol…..
