Hi fishes! I volunteer with The Art of Good, a creative collective helping small businesses affected by the pandemic. They are seeking a little help from a media professional. Need an SEM POV for a small business looking to change their name and relaunch their brand. This is non-paid. More about giving back while in-between gigs. :) If you can help out or want to learn more, please reach out to me via LinkedIN. Thank you!! www.linkedin.com/in/karenkohn/

My knuckles all burst when I use windows
PC is generally more buggy for various creative softwares than Mac is. For creatives who just need Photoshop, Chrome, Calendar, Slack, and Email, Mac is head-and-shoulders ahead of PC in stability and simplicity. But, PC is potentially more powerful for certain tools/workflows, if wielded thoughtfully.
While I have a PC I work from sometimes (by choice, very intentionally), I generally see PC-only companies as more stingy/cheap and less legit. Almost all Adobe apps are less fussy on Mac, even with worse tech specs (especially the recent M1-M3 MacBook pros.)
Then again, if all you need is Photoshop, Slack, and other simple programs that aren't very taxing on the machine, a Thinkpad can end up being the more economical and "smart" choice. But comes with more headaches than it's worth IMO. Especially as Microsoft continues to enshittify Windows 11 as much as humanly possible.
I work in-house and was offered a company PC. I declined it. I explained it would be too time consuming to my job to learn the PC system. I use my personal Mac instead. They had no issues with that.
Thank you for the insight.
