Sometimes I just need a long weekend to reset. But I don't really have the luxury of being burned out in this economy. I need to work hard because somebody else will do it if I don't.

Think I’ve figured it out. Burn out is definitely physical exhaustion coupled with frustrations associated with your workplace. These things can make you feel much more tired than you already are

For me, tired goes away after real rest. Burnout sticks around even after time off and starts to feel heavier emotionally than physically. When the weight follows you into every shift, it is usually more than just being tired.
