Anyone looking at traveling to Costa Rica? They have a list of states from which they will admit tourists while also requiring a negative covid test, health history, etc. As someone not on the approved list, I am bitter and curious why the population is grouped at a state level when there are massively different rates of infection within each state (not to mention personal responsibility) and you are already required to present a negative test. Any idea how often those lists get updated?

I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. i have an offer of X amount from jp morgan and x+ 3.5L from Mphasis, my joining is within a week, I asked counter offer from HR, she said we will look if there is any backup candidate to fill that position then we will not do counter and it will impact my DOJ also since offer approval process takes around 2 weeks. should i wait or should i join on my current doj. and also if i will wait will they give me another doj on my current compenstion or they will revoke the offer past doj?

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer will propose spending $2.3 billion over four years to recruit and retain teachers and other school staff.

Starting in the fall, all full-time returning K-12 public employees will get $2,000 bonus, with part-timers receiving less based on hours worked. They would get an additional $2,000 in 2023. Teachers and other certified staff like counselors would qualify for $3,000 in 2024 and $4,000 in 2025.
