I'm with you. I know it's not particularly healthy to overwork myself but there isn't much going on with my life outside of work. So I really don't mind putting in extra hours or working weekends. The only time I do mind is when I ask for time off and I'm expected to drop everything because some people failed to plan ahead.

Good for you. No, you are not nuts. You are in the right place lol
I am the same way but I don't have kids or a family. I hate going home to an empty house and watching TV or having nothing to do and getting bored. I don't mind the long hours and weekends because it keeps me busy and I am finally making great money.
