Is it wise to join TCS just for work life balance?

My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. My current salary is under market average for my position but based off my coworkers’ negative experiences with asking for raises/promotions, I’m not really sure how to go about starting the conversation with my manager.
