It is an IC role, and it's manager-level.. You would be expected to lead the technical presales activities for one or multiple pursuits, including sales support, client demos (potentially with junior SE's and demo engineers building), collaborate with internal proserv or assigned partners on implementation planning/scope, etc. Since it is in sales, you will have attachment goals, generally be focused on one vertical or tool (if non-core), comp is generally a 70/30 salary/commission split for OTE. Key is being able to tell a story, using live demos or slides, to folks who are technical or not, executive or not, promoters or detractors, understand what's needed in each situation according to the audience.
