It depends on what comfort means to you. Even with tax ruling your net salary is slightly above 7000 per month. Are your kids going to school already (4+?) If not, childcare is very expensive unless your husband is providing it 100% (up to 3000 per kid per month). And if you plan to live in Amsterdam, a 3-bedroom flat will cost you roughly 3000 pm (but you can rent in nearby towns cheaper).
I guess it comes down to where you are comparing it to, your usual spending habits, and where you are from.
Compared to other EU cities, I'd say roughly comparable. There will be some outlier things that are higher and lower, but it comes down to your normal habits. You can check grocery prices on the Albert Heijn, Jumbo, Dirk, Lidl, and Aldi websites.
Housing depends on what area you want to live, and what type of property (flat, house, detached, etc.) The surrounding suburbs are also good. Ive been in Amstelveen and its lovely, but quiet. If near the tram, you can be in central Amsterdam in <30min, and by bicycle <25min.
I'm originally from San Francisco, California area, lived south of Los Angeles, London, Norwich, Ohio, Georgia, and Lyon FR. This is the best place I've ever lived. Our teenage child went to Dutch school which was rough with Covid, but is now almost fluent with nearly all Dutch friends.
I hope that helps. PM if you wish.
