hey folks, I am going to join Oracle ossi in Hyderabad location. I have never been to Hyderabad, and will be relocating. Please guide on what would be good areas to look for rent. Also, what would be rent like for 2/3 bhk. Ideally my budget for rent would be <25k. Initially I will be going but in future my family will join me once I am settled. Any points to note or any other gotcha to keep in mind ? Please suggest.

Nope - for a flat fee that’s a steal! Usually they’d charge a percentage of rent for the fee
Thank you! Unfortunately the management company just took over this month and we’re moving in 2 months, so we’ll only be able to benefit from this twice, but better than nothing.
Nope, you’ve calculated correctly.
What I will recommend is doing this with a Freedom Unlimited card (1.5x on all spend, can pool with CSR). Bumps the monthly point valuation floor to $42.98
SM1 Definitely. I said valuation floor for a reason

You are right. May not be the best card to pay rent with but you’d still be in the green. There’s a few cards you can get 2% cash back with -

Can you pay multiple months at once for a flat fee? Might we worth looking into to avoid the flat fee multiple times. You may even consider getting a high spend high bonus card at that point.
Good question, I’ll ask. Thank you!
As others have indicated, may be better to use a card that’ll give you a better multiplier (e.g., Chase Freedom Unlimited = 1.5x, Amex Blue Business Plus = 2x, etc). But besides that your math does check out.
Make sure your credit card doesn't charge it as cash advance. That carries fees and doesn't earn points. Some rental companies are so set up that "purchases" qualify as cash advance.
Call the rental company and the card issuer to verify. Other option is to go ahead with the payment anyways and find out after the fact. If it tags as cash advance, pay up immediately.
You’re coming out way ahead this way. Not sure how your landlord isn’t losing money this way.
Wow I wish I could pay my rent via credit card
