Got an interview with Amazon within their Advertising department. I hear working for Amazon can be great if you get into the right department. Anyone have insights to their advertising department? Good or bad? Also, would love some interview tips if you have them! (It’s for an Executive Assistant position) thank you!
So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

You need experience shipping a product for PM roles - I would get that first if you're serious about it.

Tbh there are tons of people with no product experience on there trying to get PM roles and of you don't have that, you can't clear interviews.
@OP, I would try to get that experience up to 6 months and focus on not only product delivery, but also strategic planning and how to incorporate analytics into your product. That will put you in a really good place once headcount opens up on January. Start talking to companies before the holidays so you're the first person that comes to mind when an opening pops up.
It took me about 6 months of searching and applying before getting interviews. Once it rains it pours, so be prepared for offers to come in fast after you start interviewing.
OP, if you want more responses you may want to update your original post to include the info on the 2-3 months as a Product Owner. That context is huge in terms of getting support.
