They're known as a mill. I've never heard of of anyone being unhappy there, per se, but it's the kind of place you go for 2-3 years to learn the ropes before opening up your own shop.
It's not the kind of place you want to spend a career or use as a stepping stone.
It's just a mill PI firm, no more or less. It's not like suddenly Latham is going to take an interview with you because you worked there.
But again, totally fine if you just want to get a couple of years experience and then start your own firm.
If your goal is to try to eventually get to midlaw or biglaw, you're better off spending a few years at a national ID like McGuire, Lewis Brisbois, Wilson Esler, etc
