If you want to maintain the full honeycomb RS grille on an RD, the right answer is not to have a front plate and just pay the tickets if you get any

OP has his license plate off to the side for style as he indicates. He probably doesn’t know that the “off to the side license plate” is actually done by car enthusiasts with forced induction (turbo) cars with front mont intercoolers (FMIC) for function.
The only way a FMIC can work efficiently is by having the most airflow through it. Many times a license plate directly blocks the the flow. So guys with forced induction cars with a FMIC will put it off to the side so it’s not blocking flow.
People like OP put it off to the side after seeing high performance cars like that, thinking it’s just for style as OP indicates. He has an S5 though which is turbo charged. Not sure if he has a FMIC but never the less it’s funny to see he has no clue about the function of putting it off to the side and simply imitating high performance cars he has seen do this.

OP really why is your front plate like that? Is that because you bought it from a state where front plates aren't required? Seems like a dealer should be able to give you the right front bumper.
