Strategy& fish - i’m currently recruiting for org strategy. Ive talked to associates (in the healthcare practice) and theyve mentioned that it doesnt matter whether youre in corp strategy, org strategy, etc and that you’re pretty much pooled by industry when it comes to staffing.
Can someone confirm this? Also, what do you expect the restructuring to look like?

TEXAS
Texas is absolutely the best place to be.
Minnesota has state income.
Yeah Minnesota definitely has state income tax.
Texas is not a cheap place to live on the tax front when you look at things holistically (sales tax, real estate, etc). Do some research on taxation beyond the just that one factor.
Don't you pay taxes where you bill your hours anyway?
Some firms equalize so your state tax total is the same as if you'd never worked interstate. At least, that's how I understand it
@D1 do you guys do that (equalize)? Heading your way this summer, hadn't considered it
What about Washington?
Move to Austin
TN (Nashville) is a good option...no state income tax
You pay taxes where you live and taxes where you earn income
PwC1... Allison?
D2 there are not many places that are as affordable to live, that are growing as quickly, with such a great business environment like Texas. Living in Texas, I would argue it's incredibly affordable. Do you live in Texas or are you just assuming?
PwC2 -- ha no
Yes living in Texas may be affordable but you have to consider a lot more than just no state income tax...real estate markets have some of the nation's highest appreciation especially this year, making housing more expensive... Also, property taxes are outrageous...mine went up 25% to over 9k/yr
