Any Recruiter here?
Need help
Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Where do you work if you don’t mind my question? Big4 or MBB?
Lower?!! Can’t you push them to match? They have the funds!
Imo if you’re being overpaid at the Big 4 as a lot of people are (esp at Deloitte) then go for it and take the lower offer, if not, you should push back and negotiate to match

If it is in line with your career goals, go for it!
My answer won’t be PC but...if you’re a POC male or female—NO. If you’re a WM, go for it. Anything else, negotiate. 😉
So to be clear...I never said how she felt...I don’t know her 🤷🏾♀️...I said what I surmised from her response...and BTW there’s a lot of cultural agreements and references that make imposter syndrome and the like very much a part of the equation. As WOC , it’s in our DNA to operate gracefully under stressful conditions...with a smile and “faking to make it”. Getting the job at any level doesn’t mean that you don’t experience it on some level—especially when pushing against the current or norm—like in salary negotiations. Money discussions can be sensitive—personally and professionally—especially when someone else is holding the purse strings. Food for thought 💭.
I'd negotiate more. Never take a pay cut.
