Is April month salary slip generated in FIS Global ??? Mine is not showing, when it will generate?
I doubt they didn't give me quarterly variable , I joined in mid February and even salary came less than previous month.
Did they deduct tax in April month salary of it is then fine because they didn't tax in March month .
Kindly comments if anyone have idea .
Thanks
Hi all, any CDD openings with your firm?
Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.
What are the benefits like at Rsm? Senior here

Manager is just a title. It’s the kind of work that you’ll do either the current role or at this new gig that will determine your long term career.
Having both brands will be good on your resume.
From a $$ perspective, if your trying to make partner then where the big payout is then stay in consulting but outside of that you will make more at tech long term especially since we don’t dole out stocks at B4. (I’m assuming you get stocks every year at Microsoft)
Coach
Yes we get stock every year. For this type of offer likely 50k - $150k
Being told you are up for Manager is one thing and usually it’s just a carrot in front of your face to make you run faster. Being actually up for Manager is something else. Remember your Manager’s job is to get you to hand over things today for the hope of getting something later.
I am actually up for manager - we are working on my business case, my manager is very supportive
Take it and go. You can always leave Microsoft to something better
130k in Bay Area? No thanks. You’d be saving less than you do now and you’re about to get promoted.
It's definitely manageable, I started with 80k in Bay area couple of years back

Don't place too much value on the possibility of being promoted to M in 8 months. Promised promotions have a nasty habit of getting delayed, which could happen if a 2nd wave of covid causes economic problems.
Will making M make you more valuable to tech exits in 8 to 12 months? Tech often cares more about YOE than title. Unless you're specifically targeting a people manager role, at which point years of management experience is what counts. Consider the value of relevant work experience against the probability weighted value of making M in 8 months. What would be better for you 1 year from now? 3? 5? Pick based on that.

I'm not sure any non-SWE exit will match 105k at LCOL at 2.5 YOE in SF,so keep that in mind.
Looks correct for non-tech roles as well at AWS
I would say negotiate up as much as possible but for sure exit. This will open more doors for higher pay later
I made a switch to google at SC level, 9month before promotion to M. Happy to talk through the decision (and my current thoughts regarding the decision) if you want to DM
Does M.happy existing as a level in consulting :) ? If so, I’ll jump back to consulting lol
What type of role/work is this? I would consider where growth ops are better, and i assume you’ve already worked out lifestyle/cost of living considerations? Not sure if 130 in sf can match your 105 in LCOL
Go for MSFT, you will be making much more in 2 years there
It’s more of the opportunity cost that I am concerned about. The potential to make manager in 7-8 months versus joining at an associate level. The role itself is interesting within analytics and recommendations that drive a large portion of decision making within the org.
Why not stay, make manager then look again?
If you only have 2 YOE doesn't that mean you were just promoted? How are you up for promotion for only 1 year in your current role?
Coach
Yeah I’m curious how you got to SC so fast

What numerical level is the offer for? Much more important than the title because there’s lots of people here who are “managers” but level 59... if your goal is to be a people manager at microsoft, you have about 3-4 years too little experience

What’s your YOE and the position?
Community Builder
No but the actual position itself or what field is it (strategy, product, etc)
Big tech is way less stress. Take it and go!
You need more base for the Bay Area.
Coach
Do you have an MBA?
No
145k base - 25k bonus -125k stonks
That was my offer 3 years ago
Business development manager
Negotiate for a remote role?
Bay Area is broad - can rent under 1500 in San Jose but if you’re in SF I’d reconsider
