I’m sure your firm would approve that but do you think you’ll get much mentorship/networking/training going to the main office six days a year?
Sorry should have clarified: one week each month. So total of like 60 days or if every other month even 30 days. I do get some training virtually, they make a real effort, but it’s mainly even for me to ask those questions you can when you pop in a door vs over the phone.
Before I went in-house I did this. I would urge you to make a week trip each time and schedule the trip around a firm event or meeting.
Pre-covid my firm had a travel budget to let associates in the satellite offices do this. I forget how often, might’ve been quarterly. (I’m in the main office so I don’t have this perk.)
Good idea. They’ll allow that.
