I took a new job that I thought was a promotion, but after three months it’s clearly a lateral move. Do I discuss it with my new boss or should I just reset my expectations?
Recieved a good market adjustment months ago. Asked to apply for a position one level higher on another team. Current boss transparent he would block. After 5 weeks, new team offered zero comp increase promo (mngr wanted to give me much more but cant for 6 months). Current boss said I can request new role/salary and he will get it for me. Never wanted to leave company, but applied externally last week and likely to get offer. Should I even attempt negotiation with current?
Does anyone have an opinion about FLDP programs? It's for a fortune 5 company. How do other companies view FLDP's in terms of does it add value to a resume over other entry level roles. Is an FLDP worth pursuing over a full time position at the same or smaller company?

I’ve worked as a Histocompatibility technologist at a large company for 10 years. I am lead tech now and I know that I am underpaid and have been informed that no matter what extra degrees or certifications I obtain would end in a raise. I am an ASCP certified med tech and ACHI certified Histocompatibility specialist with a bachelors in clinical laboratory science. I’m tired of being undervalued. What’s out there for people with clinical lab background? Im willing to go back to school. Thanks!

I have a Masters and 8+ years working in an external relations role in a hospital. I have since moved to the payor side. Would it be valuable to pursue another graduate degree (MPH or Dr PH) in order to advance in the payor world or would more education actually hurt my chances?
By advancement, I mean I would earn the degree and then try to find a job at a competitor. My leaders either don’t have graduate degrees or they don’t seem to value them.
What if you accepted a job offer, paperwork signed and everything and then another job you had been interviewing for (which is the one you truly wanted) extends an even better offer less than 2 weeks after signing the first jobs acceptance paperwork? What would you do?

Hey LTI sharks,
My basic pay mentioned in offer letter is not matching with the SSC portal when checking in VPF section. Some 2k less in SSC portal. I recently joined LTI and yet to receive my first pay from LTI. Anything to worry about ?
A coworker of mine briefly mentioned that it’s the absolute size of short positions that matters, opposed to the relative size. Was she right?

Partners/shareholders - how many hours are you expected to bill on work vs client dev and firm/associate management? My firm keeps saying that "there's no such thing as a relationship partner" and everyone top-to-bottom is expected to log 2000 hours/year on real billable work. Marketing etc is done on top of that. Is that normal?! If so, I'm going to have to totally rethink my life goals.
With so much craziness going on
I knew it.
E-mail sent, Can't recall 😐

Additional Posts in Compensation
There will always be someone making more than you or less than you. At a younger age or older age. So go at your own pace, life isn't a sprint. Salary/comp included.
I am trying to negotiate an internal base increase. Context is that I am at a FinTech following a key strategic and successful M&A in which I was the sole program manager. For reference I have 3 years of experience and have been offered a 10% base increase as a part of my promotion (current salary is 120k). I feel this is quite low given the market but would really appreciate any input
Current @130k and looking to move to industry role. Recruiter told me we can offer in range of 85 to 90k plus equity grant. Work is good and I am ready to take a salary cut BUT is this too low?

I was at 125k 2 years out of undergrad after jumping companies. 152k now 3 years out of college. Ask for more IMO. Currently in DC
KPMG throws money at people because the raises are low. You can get up to 125-130 in DC as a SC at KPMG. Recruiter friend is my source. This is for the Advisory - Management Consulting Group. It’s never too much to ask. All they can say is no, don’t be afraid.
Current and potential future role are non-Federal, non-tech management consulting.
I just feel like $110k would be a lot, but with promotion in April and a promotion bonus, that's about what I would need to give up my current network.
Two yrs of exp will probably yield 90-95k as a senior at KPMG
