How many mental breaks do you give yourself a day (not just from prep, but from THINKING about prep)? And how much sleep have you been getting while prepping? I coach people in finance how to overcome burnout on the job (ex-burnt out investment banker over here!), and these are always two of the first questions I ask since awareness of how much / how little rest we’re giving ourselves is the first step to making changes that will help us feel less burnt out.
Taking a break can feel really hard - but even JUST 5-10 minutes / day to shut off your brain from thinking about prep, move around, and focus on something that feels energizing to you will make you feel so much better.
What could that sort of 5-10 min. / day mental break look like for you? Schedule it on your cal (or set a phone alarm), too!
