Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

May be a noob question. What agency titles feed into different C-Suite positions in the wider industry? Do creative titles most commonly set one up for a CMO position? How about account side?

I’m taking a Microsoft certification course with Excel 2016. Should I opt for the 2019 version or are there few differences?

How common are credit checks for roles in accounting or finance positions? Will high utilization on credit card balances and low credit score be a deal breaker? I’ve been irresponsible and made mistakes, but wondering if I can switch jobs now or if I’m best off waiting 1-2 years and cleaning up my credit first.

I am an IT Professional with 15 + years of experience of which 12 years in mainframe programming across various domains insurance, banking, telecom etc currently working as a senior Technichal Business Analyst for Lending completed the Pspo1 certificate recently. I’m a product designer with about 5+ YOE I’m exploring courses/programs that one could take up as a mid career professional. I have a keen interest in Service Design, Behavioural Sciences, Design Research but not very sure about the opportunities. At the same time I’m open to exploring Product Mgmnt and Data science as along with design. Any recommendations?

What’s the salary wage for a consumer lending credit analyst/ underwriter in Southern California ?

a job that the posting stated $36.66 per
hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.
