What would you choose between palantir and a small startup with great growth opportunities?

Question: where are you going to learn more? Are the problems you’d solve more interesting at one or the other? And would there be people who could push you to develop at one or the other? Finally the culture. Palantir isn’t going to be comfortable for everyone (politics). I don’t have these answers I am posing them for you to ask yourself.

Small startup.

Don't know first hand, but feel like most of Palantir's hands on work will be data integration or getting meta about data integration--that's their bread and butter, after all. May wanna ask some employees about their experience before committing; too much data stewardship is widely known as the main thing that causes folks to leave data science roles.

...sans the building surveillance state tools argument that UXD1 more conservatively called "politics." Let's not beat around the bush here.

Also, heard Palantir's having trouble landing customers? Growth may not be great. But maybe someone who's looked into it can correct me there, too

Do you believe in the small startups product?

Thanks guys! It is helpful to ask myself the right questions!

Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I know that title is not a big thing but why I feel like my title is downgraded here… Good thing is my jobs here at my current team are what I really wanted to do. This is amazing. I love my new team and people here! Super healthy working environment! But just curious about the title.

Hi everyone! I’ve been working as a product manager in an internal consulting department at Kaiser Permanente a on software product that maps and automates clinical workflows. Although my title is a consultant, my role entails the usual responsibilities of a PM (prioritizing builds and features, identifying business requirements, mapping user journeys and stakeholder management). Does anyone have any advice on ways to break into tech or suggestions of companies to look into?

I have been offered in Bangalore but moving there is little tricky with growing kids and family. How much does a project manager travel and how will this role help?. Please help

I’m working at an insurance defense firm, trying to target my practice to L&E. I’m overworked and underpaid, but gaining valuable experience I hope to pivot toward an eventual in-house counsel position. I recently was offered an opportunity to lateral to a national firm for a significant pay increase (150% salary increase, much better benefits, hybrid WFH options). Problem-I would be shifting gears to Toxic Tort. I’m torn between my passion and the money. I’m a second year associate. WWYD?

Currently C level (target promo next summer). Been mostly on finance transformation projects. Worked in strategic finance before that at a f500 healthcare company.
What roles/levels would I be a good candidate for at FAANG/Microsoft/other Big Tech?
No hard technical skills (outside of financial modeling).
I’m also studying for GMAT as t15 MBA is a consideration right now, so I could also try to make the switch after that.

Currently a Wealth Advisor for Citi but I honestly hate it here with a passion it’s the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life and I’ve been in Wealth Management in the banking channel for over a decade. I’m look to enter another area of Finance at this point instead of starting over somewhere else from scratch, but not sure what direction to go. Interested in Investment Banking or M&A.

Not my ideal exit but I accepted an offer at another Big4 for a 26 percent hike in base.
Ideally I’d exit to industry in Product/Program manager role but I really needed out and this came up so I took it. And Im on H1B so I cant keep interviewing/accept a better offer if it comes up, once the transfer is initiated.
I can’t decide if Im happy or sad. I’m relieved for now.

Do you have advice on how to interview better with Amazon?

My résumé and portfolio are great, and I’ve been asked to interview with Amazon for 4 different teams now. However, it seems like I’m not making it past the first 1:1 interview. 3 out of 4 have resulted in not the right fit for reasons unknown; they don’t provide any feedback either.
