CV says "advanced Excel": SUMIFS, pivots, and charts.

Excel test in the interview and so many candidates could not even do a SUMIFS (1 man not even able to do so using the formula help window...)

How can you be manager/FC level and not able to these!?

There’s no practical difference other than taxes, but do you think there’s a prestige difference between being “partner” versus “shareholder” or “member” at a law firm?

Currently an associate at a mid-sized firm with “strong potential” to make partner at the end of this year. Things have been toxic for a while, but have cratered in 2021, with few signs there will be any positive changes on the horizon. What are the pros and cons of staying to make partner before trying to go in-house? I’d assumed it would be better to job search with that title on the resume, but am rethinking my assumptions the worse things get.

My goal is I have multiple look up values in one cell (separated by comma) and I need it to look up those values and return values from another table which also may have multiple values (separated by comma) anyone know how to do that? Help me save the day: have a massive excel file (600k rows) with duplicate records (column a, b and c are duplicate, not a duplicate if a and b are the same though). How can I filter for just these records? If it didn’t crash excel I could concat into one column, Conditional format for duplicates, and sort by color. What’s a work around?

How can I add multiple characteristics within one cell and make sure that a pivot table can read both values independently if needed? E.g., I have a column titled “color” and in one cell I write “red” and the other “red, blue”. I’d like a pivot table / formula to be able to count that there are technically two “reds” in this data set. Any tips?

Hi Group, seems like it should be basic format, but I just can not get it to work. a list of data and want to alternate shade (blue,white,blue,etc) each line but if I have multiple lines I want to group together and they all shade the same. I want to group by the same data in column A, and the number of rows that are the same could vary. So let’s say row 1& 2 same entry in column A(blue) row 3 different (white) row 4,5,6 same as each other different to other rows (blue) etc… help 🙏

Vlook up isn't recognizing a couple of cells even though it's feeding off a pivot and when I check with an " if =" it comes up as being the same.
Any advice on what I need to check?

Timesaver: If you’re working on a file saved on the cloud (teams, share point, etc.) and need the URL to communicate out, tap FILE -> INFO -> COPY PATH and the url will be on your clipboard. Pre-established sharing privileges of orig folder will apply. Hopefully this saves you time reshuffling open windows! Bonus: Same on standard MS suite files.

I was thinking conditional format, but it’s identifying duplicate labels. I have over 80,000 cells, so extracting URLs manually isn’t going to work for me.
