Keywording sounds obnoxious but it really does help. It’s really helpful to list out what kind of work you’ve done and the breadth of industries/mediums/etc. In my current job, I do recruiting literally based on keywords, industry and companies so the higher the title, the more detail and specifics you can offer, the higher likelihood I’ll see you on LinkedIn.
Alternatively, making sure you have your website in your summary section, the info email for your consulting company (if you have one) or in your highlight features of your past work as those are great places to start. You don’t want to have someone have to look up if you have a website - put as much as you possibly can right in front of a casual scroller. People are lazy so make it easy for them!
That’s all very good tips, thank you!
Also, have a couple of recent references; you may request them directly from LinkedIn.
Linkedin is very helpful for consistency. Resumes are written in various formats so it's often helpful to look at a LinkedIn profiles since they are consistent and you can get more information about the companies they have worked for, especially if you are not familiar with them. It really helps to give a frame of reference.
That makes total sense. In terms of CVs do you usually recommen/prefer something really ‘straight’ or something rather creative looking? If the cv is coming from a Creative.
Look at jobs you want and find common keywords you think a recruiter might search for. Put those on your LinkedIn.
