Not sure about Accenture
Except work life balance everything else is good in Deloitte and after last year blunder of no hike
Deloitte realised hike is very important-and they will continue to give overall good hikes every year
Work culture is a myth
Work culture in consulting is like romance in bollywood it only exists in imaginary videos and examples
It's a HR talking point
You as an individual should treat everyone around you kindly and they should do the same to you but that's mostly not the case
Pick the job that pays you more money
Afterall that's the only thing that matters
Any company that you choose, it'll ultimately depend on your team and the project. While in Deloitte, I had projects where I'd work hardly 3-4 hours a days and would log out by 6 and also projects where I'd work till 8.30-9. Another team in the latter project would work till 11. So it completely depends on your project.
People here might say you get to choose your hours and you should be assertive and set the right expectations but it doesn't work that way. There will be short and long term implications if your manager is not ready to understand your concerns.
But culture and hike wise, Deloitte USI is better. Ensure you get into D-USI and not DI if you're planning to join Deloitte.
Deloitte has member firms. If its D-USI, good to go. If its D-India then nahh! No WLB (teams are already stressed with shortage of staff), lower payouts (literally, this pisses me off), bonuses and everything vary too much across teams. Your friend in another team might get a 25% bonus, you could be stuck at 8%.
For Accenture I cant really comment
