Democracy only works if we believe in it.
I worry that Trump’s attempts to undermine the results of the presidential election are a modern version of the Dolchstoßlegende that arose in Germany after WWI and that the Nazis used to unravel faith in the Weimar Republic.

Republicans are on board with this subversion of democracy. We can't be blind and believe that they are being fooled or are victims of Trump.
A minority of the country simply wants to rule over the majority in an authoritarian way.
