I would definitely hire them full-time because that is a lot of work for one person to do part-time. I can imagine the insurance part alone would be a full-time job.
I pay my patient service coordinators the same rate, whether part time or full time. Pay band for that position in my company is $18-$22/hr, depending on the size of the office. (ex. 1, 2 or 3 doctor office)
That's a big ask for part-time. There is no way one person in our office could handle all of that even at full-time. I would be looking at the average hourly wage for the highest paid skillset in your area of the 3, and then add on 10%. I take it you are the friend, and that is a huge amount for them to ask. I would be job hunting if they aren't paying you fairly.
Yes, I would be the friend. They asked me if I was looking for full-time or part-time and I asked if the later was an option. I had no idea what the position would entail at the time, I thought I was simply checking people in and scheduling like I had at a past receptioning job... the highest paid skillset in my area would land at 23 an hour, 10% more would be about 25 an hour. They are currently paying me $17, and have been VERY slow to set up the meeting I've asked for. They also seem reluctant to bring me on full-time when I've asked, and the OM claims I should be able to get everything done just fine... I'm definitely applying to other places and getting out of here as fast as I can
I would hire that position for full-time. There is no way that you can do all that in a part-time role. As far as hourly rate, I would try looking on Glassdoor to see what someone in that role, in your area, gets paid.

It depends on where you are located and how big the place is too, I would guess

For combined scheduling and insurance verification duties, many offices hire full time because the workflow requires consistent coverage throughout the day. Compensation varies widely by location.
