Does anyone know a great 7th grade math workbook? Our school system does not buy the students books. I’ve taught 6th grade math for 20 years and have made all my notes, worksheets and and examples, but I’ve been assigned a seventh grade math class and don’t have enough time to get all of that ready. I feel like I’ve spent so much money on Amazon and TPT but it never ends up being what I want. It’s usually too easy. I would be grateful for any ideas, suggestions or actual workbooks names. Thanks.

It feels like my pay and title are lower than my scope of duties. I manage Youtube channels and do all strategy, planning, talent management, rework content for socials, reporting, graphic design, + a bunch of other stuff. Do you think I should be something like Video Content Manager? A Strategist maybe? My company doesn't have career pathing & I think they'd be happy to keep giving me more work with the same pay. Three job interviews with a company, last one creating a marketing plan and presenting to marketing VP. I received good feedback from him. Three days later recruiter wants to give me a call and “give an update”. Schedules it after 2 days. This morning cancels last minute as they are having “internal discussions”. I recently got a job working as a BDR for an enterprise rep. We sell a SaaS product for other tech companies. It is a new realm for me as I have been primarily an AE throughout my career.

What resources are out there to help me learn how to work these accounts (500+ person companies)? looking for tips on everything from writing email cadences, sending video messages, and even qualifying leads during discovery calls.

What is your total “wedding look” budget/est. spend? (Everything including dress, make up, jewelry, shoes, outfit changes, accessories, etc.). Outside counsel has been prepping company witnesses for a trial in August. It is my subject area so I am supervising outside counsel. I did not, however, choose the counsel. He is doing a really awful job. Co counsel is better, but not great either. Higher ups love the firm… I do not want to micromanage, but I have genuine concerns about outside counsel’s ability to try this case. Trials are rare, and I just don’t think these guys have actually tried many cases. Cont. below…

What’s your opinion on math homework? I teach 4th grade and have always given it but I’d like to see what others do and weigh out if it’s really worth it. If I give it, I feel like I should spend class time going over it but on the other hand I stress myself out trying to keep the absent work organized and those that don’t even do the work.

We will be administering the Algebra 1 End of Course Assessment next week.. what are some ideas for recognizing those who perform well as well as those who've had significant increase from previous scores?

My district has finally gone 1-to-1. Is there a good app or website that I could use to have students submit answers anonymously while going over problems in class? I did this last week using Kahoot to go over a state testing review packet. It was great because I could see how many got the right answer and move on if no one missed the question. However, I would like to do it without having to create something in advance. I hope this doesn't sound confusing.

What is the best way you have found to give a test virtually?

I found using GoFormative’s free version to be very helpful in teaching new topics to my students. I embed videos I make demonstrating how to complete a question, next I ask them to complete an example showing work, and then the next question they type their answer so it automatically alerts them to see if they answered correctly. It can be used live in a meet and on an independent virtual day. In my google meets, I’m able to give feedback on any question they have trouble with in real time.

What do you do when you have a student completely freeze and bomb a test? I had a student in class today answer only 2 questions on a test and missed both of those. She was in tears and couldn't finish the test. What do you do in these situations?

I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade supplemental math. I want to use pencil / paper this year, because I feel my kids didn't do as well online. I don't mind using it occasionally but want to utilize interactive notebooks. Does anyone else feel this way about math or have suggestions?
