I lie on the survey. It's win win. The higher my firm ranks the higher in prestige it receives. So when I leave bc things suck, at least the general public will think I work for a great firm.
I think you have to consider, people who are unhappy are more likely to express their unhappiness, while happy or indifferent people will keep it to themselves.
Fishbowl is a bitching grounds. It doesn't really represent the population of employees. Skewed to negative comments and people's favorite game of thrones moments really...
Combine with it's all relative. Most people on here have little life experience and don't know what an actual shitty job is and getting paid minimum wage and not even breaking the poverty level.
That's exactly what they do. There are literally people who's full time job it is to get the firm on lists like that.
Proud as shit.

I hate my job and I rank it accordingly. However, I'm still proud as shit to say I work at pwc, which I think must be the only metric they actually use
Oh that's deep
No idea if this is true but I was told that Working Mother's magazine survey is sent to specific locations. Probably totally made up. But I've been with the firm 12 years and I've never seen one of the outside surveys...
While it is true that fishbowl is a bitching grounds, how many of you know people who are actually super happy about working in public accounting? Almost nobody is. Certainly not the majority as those phony surveys would have you believe.
