About 65% of our invited guests RSVPed yes. Most of our guests lived out of state and would’ve needed to pay for flights and hotel rooms
Rising Star
This was true for us, too. Both the OOS travel percentage and the yes percentage.
25% ‘no’ for us
About 18% rsvped no. We had a wedding near our home towns so about 50% of our guest list decided to get a hotel and the other 50% were local.
I think we had maybe 10-15% that gave a no, most of which were just because of something else going on or travel reasons. The majority of the guest list was local, then some a few hours out, and then the No crowd was across the country out. We had about a 150 people total on our list.

No, mine was higher, but I had a lot of out of town guests. I went through my list and put a percentage likely to come by everyone's name, and made my fiance do the same for his relatives. I used 50%, 100% and 0%. I knew some who I thought were 100% would not make it and some who I thought were zero would come ( OOT relatives who his mother insisted were invited and some OOT of mine in their 80's who surprised me and came). I would say the 80/20 rule applied to that estimate. I think it would have been closer, but a less costly ( ie closer to where they all live) event within his family got scheduled. Either that or his mom was way over optimist about which of their relatives would travel. Using the percentages, we were spot on on our friends and my relatives. Not necessarily for who, but for how many.
we had under 10% no’s
No. Required travel, lodging, and wedding gifts. 80% no show because it was last minute. They were all notified 2 days before Wedding. All gave their blessing from afar… I should have planned it out with my family.
